Ride the Subway....you're sure to get some shows (while you wait for the subway to come ---street performers) as well as some great looking folks. You will see EVERYBODY....biz owners, soap opera stars, actors, bums.... You will definitely be entertained.

Definitely pick up Time Out New York to find out what's going on, get restaurant reviews, etc.. This mag, even New Yorkers rely on for info.

I would ,not miss ground zero. You can not appreciate the scale of what happened without being there and feeling it. It is life altering. After your done, go to the NYC Fire Museum on Spring St and the Police Museum by South Street and see the actual guns, radios, duty belts, badges etc cops had on when they pulled their bodies from the rubble. See Moria Smith's photo ( and others) escorting a wounded civilian out and see the photo of her child, then look at her gun belt, badge, keys etc and think about the fact it was on her. When she was murdered. Sorry to be a downer, but thats the reality we live with.
Then have fun and hit a good Irish bar. Its what they'd do.
