I wouldn't recomment this as it will strip the light brown out of your hair but you will not be guaranteed the colour that it will turn. Most hair colours contain besides a peroxide that lightens and colour that is deposited onto the hair itself. Your hair depending on the natural undercolour could become gold, orange or some nasty shade of red. Better to go and buy a shade or two lighter or buy a frosting kit that has not only the peroxide but a lightening powder solution that is easier to control as far as colour gradiations. You don't want to end up looking like a calico cat.

Yup it works. But by 50% peroxide I hope you mean 50% of peroxide that's already only 5% peroxide or so... If you have pure peroxide, 50% of that will kill your hair.
The spray bottle peroxide is generally a good idea though. It works really slowly and you have to spray and then use the hairdryer several times, but you can see if it's turning the colour you want. You don't have to worry about rinsing out bleach and realising your hair turned orange or something... with this method you'll have plenty of warning!

I'd definitely go and see a hairdresser for advice first. I have medium brown hair and I used a product called "sun in" whilst on holiday. I used it everytime I washed my hair. It gradually lightens it giving a sun-bleached effect. I'm not sure I'd use it all the time as it might damage your hair. But it will give you a chance to see what your hair would look like lighter. Its available from shops like superdrug, boots, tescos etc

Yes!! Peroxide, and your hair dryer! Not great for the condition of your hair but I have seen it done in front of me. From black hair to a sort of burnt orange, so if you have light brown hair it will surely make it blond!
