The Mass is the central sacrament of the Church.

The Holy Sacraments of the Roman Catholic Church are: 1)Baptism 2) Eucharist (Holy Communion) 3) Confirmation 4) Confession (also called Reconcilliation) 5) Matrimony (marriage) 6) Holy Orders (ordination into the priesthood), and 7) Extreme Unction (formerly called "Last Rites"). Baptism especially (and eventually Confirmation), is seen by the Church as essential for full membership in the "true" faith, and entrance into Christian life. Confession was also considered essential, although the Roman Catholic Church has in recent years softened its stance on the matter, and the same function is now commonly performed at mass through "General Absolution" (though one-on-one reconcilliation with a priest is still encouraged). Marriage is encouraged by the Church, though is not considered critical. Extreme Unction is also seen as highly desireable, if circumstances permit. And obviously "The Call" of the priesthood is not for everyone, and the church certainly understood this. So if there are any sacraments that might be considered central, they would have to be Baptism, first, followed by participation in the Holy Communion. Baptism for reasons already stated, and Communion (Eucharist) because it is a memorial celebration of the Last Supper, and represents participation in a rite where the spirit of Christ is considered to be sacramentally present.

The Mass is the central LITURGY of the Catholic Church. All other acts of worship and devotion are paraliturgies.

The central SACRAMENT of the Catholic Church is the reception of the Eucharist, which takes place at the Mass.

None of the above. The central sacrament of the Roman Catholic Church is the Eucharist ... what Protestants and Episcopalians call 'communion' ... the sharing of the 'wine and bread' that are Christ's BODY AND BLOOD because it has been 'blessed' ...

Holy Eucharist (or, the Mass)

Transubstantiation; ie the resacrificing of Jesus Christ. They think they can call Him down from the throne-room of Heaven, and offer Him up as a sacrifice for sins AGAIN every time the mass is performed. It's ridiculous!
