There are six parts to evolution.
1. Chemical evolution
2. Cosmic evolution
3. Stellar and Planetary evolution
4. Organic evolution
5. Macro-evolution
6. Micro-evolution
The last one is the only one that has been observed/proven.
This is what you are talking about. The flu may have changed, but it is still the flu.
The other five parts are what we commonly refer to as "evolution".
Creationists don't believe in the other five parts.

Once you look into how "evolution" you refer to occurs, you will see that the flu virus never becomes anything but a flu virus. It may mutate, but within it's genetic parameters. H5N1 is a locater for a protein within the flu. It is not evolving...
GM food - as yes, I see random chance at work here... in man's labs. Not evolution. Possibly dangerous tinkering.

Wrong. It jumps. It MUTATES.
They don't generally call it evolutioin.
Evolution means Bird Flu becomes Human Flu.
Hey, evolutionist, better start worrying that AIDS might EVOLVE into an AIRBORN virus. Then you catch it by breathing the same air. Wouldn't that be neat!

Bacteria mutates and become resistant to antibodies....So do we, if we didn't then people would no longer exsist. The human body can become immune to things thats how a vaccine works you are injected with the virus or bacteria and the body builds a defense against it. These bacteria do not evlove they mutate and then become resistant. Actually a virus could affect a human that doesn't affect an animal because our bodies are different or that animal has already built the immunity to it.....and the food scientists do that

First of all I would say to you that just because something is on the news,in the paper or told to you by a man in a white coat it's not necessarily the truth. You have to realise that what ever your faith the media and governments like to play chasey chasey with the population to get us all passive and subservient.
If you are going to ask a good creation vs evolution question you need to get some information in there and not be dictated to by media manipulation.
This answer isn't to provoke you to anger so don't get upset. It is however to provoke you to consideration of what you're asking.

I believe in both.
GM food is made by external manipulation by an "intelligent" designer - man.
The bird flu virus - has evolved, you say, from infecting animals to infecting man?
Can you prove that it never infected man before?
In any case creationists do not generally have a problem with "microevolution". What we don't believe in is evolution from one species to another.

I get your point, but the creationists don't.
Diseases are just bad stuff that's part of being in a sick world.
GM foods are... um... er... tricky one that.
Non-creationist Christians would agree with you, and they are still in the majority in the UK, despite the nonsense across the pond. They have to do some strenuous rationalisation of the Bible to stop it breaking under the weight of so much science, but at least they accept the science. Well, most of it.
Anyway, personally I think creationists are a more serious threat to humanity than bird flu.
PS i just read some of the answers. Creationists are everywhere. We're all doomed.

It is obvious that you do not have a degree in microbiology. Your statement that a virus evolves or that manipulated genetics is evolution is incorrect.

We're not talking about viruses evolving into viruses. We're talking about mud evolving into elephants, eagles, whales and people.
