It's called a black out. A blackout is a period of amnesia during which the person is actively engaged in behaviors (e.g., walking, talking) but the brain is unable to form new memories for the events, leaving the person unable to recall the events once they are no longer intoxicated

I gave up alcohol 18 years ago. Probably one of my smarter moves. The interesting thing is when you quit drinking later in your illustrious career, you will still remember an amazing amount of the things that happened to you "way back then." While there is no way I can encourage you to quit, also, what I might do, as someone who drank to extremes (!) myself, is to encourage you to be at home or in some kind of safe environment when you begin to cross over that margin of sense and start to get really blotto. The nice part about being in your own home when you do your later drinking, during the evening (let's say), is that when you've had enough you can just push back in your favourite chair and konk out (go to sleep). I used to vsit bars late at night and be pedaling around on my 12-speed bicycle, drunk out of my mind at 1:30 A.M. on the streets of Portland, Maine. This is not a smart thing to be doing. One night I lost my balance and fell off the bike, knocking out all my front teeth. I can remember that night even as I write this to you. I am grateful I am alive today and can write this to you. I, of course, do hope you'll get some kind of handle on your drinking pattern here at some point, but in the meantime, try to remember to park your tailfeathers in a safe haven when you want to go that extra distance into oblivion. Best to you, always. - Chris!

Oh MAC, quit drinking. As Chris pointed out those are black outs and a solid symptom of alcoholism. I once blacked out and woke up driving a car 30 or 40 miles away from home and had no idea where I was. I could easily have hit someone with my car and never even remembered doing it. Please stop before it's too late.

It's a blackout, as others have said.
It's a warning sign, you are drinking waaay too much if blackouts are happening, coupled with loss of memory.
You really should see a doc, just to be on the safe side. Get your liver checkeed. And bloody well cut down. If you CAN'T cut down. Then you may need some sort of specialised help.
...But, you really shouldn't have any need to be drinking that kind of amount.

It's called a black out. It is a sign of being VERY drunk and a frequent occurrence for alcoholics. You don't have to pass out to have a black out. You can do all kinds of embarrassing stuff while you're blacked out.

it is called !!! you were intoxicated / overdose of alcohol in your system so you shut down, black out and loose track of what happen, you obviously have a problem with alcohol so you need to control it and if not get some help, cause that sounds fun but is not really funny is actually very dangerous.

It means you are now drinking so much, that you are no longer in control of what you do, say, feel etc.
That would be a warning sign to slow up, I should think.

You had too much to drink. Or you had a petit mal seizure. Ask your doctor.
