You could set an alarm clock to get up earlier. Try a little earlier each morning.

Stop exercise about 2 hrs b/4 bed. Don't read in bed, get up and leave the bedroom. Sit in a chair in a different room.

Some times I play relaxing music by my bed very softly. I have a favorite soft classical song that I set my CD player to play over & over again. I'm asleep b/4 the last repeat.

Try warm milk. I know YUK, but it releases natural relaxing chemicals in your body. Try doctoring the milk with some nutmeg, it may taste better.

There are also relaxing herb teas that can help.

Don't watch TV in bed. Eat a little snack before you go to bed. I can't sleep if I'm hungry.

Try focusing on relaxing you body part by part. Just focus in your mind a body part, such as foot, hand or where I start: forehead. Just close your eyes and feel the tension. Then imagine the tension slowly going away. There is not magic formula, just trial & error until you find what works for you. I find I have lots of tension in my forehead & eye lids.

While you're doing this, let it be your only thoughts. Don't dwell on worries, or your day or tomorrow. If your trying to solve a looming problem, you may dream about solutions if you can relax before falling asleep.

Don't drink a lot of alcohol b/4 bed. Move ashtrays out of the bedroom. Get up and out of bedroom to smoke.

Well, that's all I can come up with on the spur of the moment. I hope it helps you.
;-)

Try making a schedule, and make it so something has to be attended to in the morning, an AM 9-5 schedule.
You have to take small steps, or you'll be at a loss for seeing the Sun rising in the East. It's beautiful! Take some pictures so you know what you've been missing for so long. Post these close by you when you designing a Calender.
It's difficult to rearrange this sleeping pattern. I worked with the entertainment industry for years. I decided to do something else, that needed my attention for early daytime purposes.
The best advice I can give you also, is Don't take a Nap. This will throw you back to staying up late.
If I can do it Anybody can!

The best way to stop going to bed late is to get all your business done early. No homework, no bills, no TV watching, whatever, after say 8-ish, unless your bedtime is earlier. Give yourself about an hour before bedtime to relax and unwind with a book or calming music. Definitely no eating or drinking in that hour before bed. In fact, no caffeine or sweets two to three hours before bedtime.

Then, you should also set your alarm to wake you up earlier. Even if you don't NEED to be up, get up early and start your day. It will train your internal clock to shift everything forward so that your head will think bedtime should be earlier. That way you get used to going to bed earlier.

Either try all that, or a Xanax around dinner time will zonk you out and get you to bed. LOL.

Well if you have tried going to bed earlier and it has not worked then you should try to watch a movie with the lights off, then take a nice warm bath or shower, and then maybe even read a little bit before you go to bed. Doing all this can calm you and help you to get to sleep earlier or faster.

Wake up earlier, don't nap during the day and go to bed early. Do something that is boring..I like to fall asleep watching tv sometimes. Listen to the radio that might help. Drink a cup of non caffinated tea before you go to bed.

Hello, just wanted to let you know of a miracle pill that puts you to sleep, available over the counter, is actually very very beneficial for your health, and is only 3 bucks!! I had trouble falling asleep for years. I would lay in bed, and think and think and think for hours before I could fall asleep. It was literally driving me crazy!! I had tried every over the counter sleeping pill on the market and nothing helped. I turned to Nyquil and that did the trick. I had been drinking Nyquil almost every night to go to sleep until I stumbled upon this miracle sanity saving nutritional supplement named MELATONIN. And you can buy it at any GNC health food store. I advocate GNC because the melatonin they use goes through 85 different quality checks before its bottled. Buy the sublingual melatonin. The kind that dissolves underneath your tongue tastes like cherries and it’s good for you!! I was shocked at the effectiveness in putting me to sleep. If you have any questions before you buy it the sales associate at GNC should be able to answer any questions you have. It comes in 1 mg, I take 2 right before bed. The only side effects are weird dreams for the first two nights if any at all. Must take the sublingual kind from GNC for potency, should be taken at regular bedtimes in the evening.
God Bless
P.S. after you try it and it works don’t forget to tell others about it. You could be saving someone else’s Sanity

Wake up earlier, don't drink caffeine late in the day, and try going to bed earlier gradually. For example go to bed five or ten minutes earlier every night and gradually work your body into the change so you don't shock it.

It is your decision. Simply get into the bed earlier. Reading a book helps- it causes you to shut out some of stressful situations which tend to keep someone awake.
No computer games late at night and after reading this shut down your computer.
GOOD NIGHT!!!!!
