3 colours, Red, Blue and Yellow.
So called primary colours as they are at the bottom of the colour list. From Red, Blue and Yellow you can get all the other colours.
Red/Yellow = Orange
Yellow/Blue = Green
Blue/Red = Purple
Those colours are secondary colours.

3...red, blue, and yellow. they are called "primary" because there are no two (or more) colors, when mixed together, will make a primary (or first) color. Ex. red and blue make purple, so purple is a secondary color. Mixing a secondary color with a primary color gives your a tertiary color. Brown is a tertiary color because it is made with orange (yellow and red) and blue.
