This is not for me, its for my husband. He is planning on going back to school and is almost 20. I have tried Fastweb and some of the other well known sites and I dont like them. FAFSA is being a pain in the neck wanting his mothers tax info when he doesnt live with her... He is Hungarian/American (dual citizenship), child of surviving cancer patient and deceased Leukemia patient, former Boy Scout, and is supporting me and our soon to be born baby. What can he do? We do not want loans. Most of the scholarships are for minorities and it's irritating us. Please help, thanks.

Your husband should be able to apply for FAFSA with out any problems. Did your husband live his mother that year? If so just show the income for that year, if your mother in law did not make that much for that year you should be able to get help.

Believe it or not, your best bet is FAFSA. Sounds like they do not comprehend that he is married and therefore emancipated. Try that angel. Also, check with the financial assistance office of any college that he wants to apply to.
