I watch those shows like Criss Angel, David Blaine, etc., and I wonder, is that fake television or does Allah grant people that ability?

No this is haraam(sinful) Allah does not grant magic it is even forbidden to believe in it. even horoscopes and fourtune tellers this is all haraam. hope this helps. ppl can be on the GOoD side or the dEVIL side. so ppl like these two i'm almost 100% sure are not on the GOoD side. i've seen these two online on utube and couldn't believe my eyes. but only Allah gives as he chooses. and these guys don't appear to be "heavenly" almost sorta demonic if you ask me. peace and blessings to you reader.

I'm not that knowledgeable about these types of things, but i dnt think so. The only beings in history that were known to have magical powers sent by Allah are prophets such as, sayedna muhammad(allehe allsalat wa salam), jesus, moses, etc.... so if god were to grant people other than prophets magical powers that may confuse some people about their religious belief and make them think that since this person can do something, out of the oridinary, that they must be a messenger for Allah.
So that's my answer, hope it helps!

In New Testament there were a few people practicing magic, but through demons
Acts 8:9-11, Acts 13:8-11, Acts 16:16-18
There were also Jesus himself, and believers doing many supernatural healings, exorcisms, one physical translation, signs and wonders such as multiplying food, miraculous deliverances from prison, in Matthew,Mark,Luke,John and Acts.

Supernatural ministry does exist in some parts of the Church currently. These are some people involved in such ministry, although its all through the Holy Spirit by grace, and not by their power, as they would readily admit - Charles Ndifon, Randy Clarke, Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship church, Claudio Freidzon, Carlos Anacondia, Pastor Yongi Cho, Rodney Howard-Browne. Many more and ministry teams.

I think David Blaine may be using a bit of occult power but gives the impression of just being very clever.

These 'magical' things are not from Allah SWT- magic is something from Jinn and from evil. Only prophets had abilities that the rest of us do not have -( Given from God almighty. ) I work with a girl who calls fortune tellers. She says they are always right and they tell her things from her past that only she would know. So do things like magic and fortune telling exsist? I think so- but they are forbidden in Islam for a reason- Because they are NOT from Allah SWT- So they must be from somewhere else.

tricks of man , tricks of the mind or quickness of hand,
is not life alone majic enough
what is a mirricall
enough is enough.

jesus said at the drinking of the wine
please go away it is not yet my time
then said the servants what will we do
if we dont feed the drunks there will be shame upon our master due
so they gave his private stash ,expecting the worse for to shame your own master brings down its own curse

then came the feeding of jews 4000 then 5 ,
watch closly my deciples what did we bring,
count it carfully send it out to the people
noting they are jews and cannot wash thier hands
[thus are forbbbidden to eat]
go to the next chapter jesus reveals that itts not what a man puts in
but that what toungue will reveal ,
the 12 know not the rule of the jew
the rite of washing the hands
yet saw a miricle they just dont /wont under stand
neither can man
is not nature [our own creation miriclle enoug]
faulse god need miricle
truth just needs to be heard
any one can believe by lie or trick
if one was done here now
who would yet see but ways to recreate it to prove they are god
any trick is trick so are mirror calls
smoke and mirror to detract from the real teaching
satan is majic ie deceit ,[a lie] a magition fooling fools from seeing the real miricle
