I'm Catholic, too, and I suggest that you spend a lot of time reading the Bible and studying all that it has to say about Jesus. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom and understanding so that you will grow in God's grace.

Also, ask our Blessed Mother to draw you closer to her Son. Her prayers are very powerful before the Father, and she wants nothing more than to see her Son more loved and known to everyone.

If your parish has a prayer and/or study group, get together with them on a regular basis to talk about the Lord and what He's doing in your life. That will build up your trust and love for Jesus, too.

But most of all, set aside time just to talk to Jesus about everything and anything. Sit before the Blessed Sacrament if possible, and pray about the things that are on your mind. Just relax in Christ's Presence, no matter where you are, and let Him make Himself more known to you.

God bless!

Start by engaging Jesus in prayer. Make a space in you heart that is for Him and no one else, and spend time with Him there in prayer.

Go to church and sit with Him in the Blessed Sacrament. The time you spend there is the most valuable moments you'll have.

Study your faith. Read the new testament, read the catechism. It is very important that you know your faith - what Jesus and His Church teaches. Here's a great website that will give you excellent guidelines:

http://catholic.com/library/Starting_Out_as_an_Apologist.asp

The site is about apologetics, but the first few paragraphs on this page are wonderful for anyone wanting guidance in how to properly proceed in learning the faith. If you want to get into apologetics, simply continue with the rest of the site's directions.

If the catechism is too daunting, there are condensed versions available (which is probably what I need too, lol).

Anyway, God bless you for embracing the Faith. Take care.

We can be completely intimate with Jesus at every single Mass because He is Really Present, Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity, in the Most Holy Eucharist.

Through Prayer and Constant Communion, we as catholics believe that the Eucharist is the True Body and Blood of Jesus so how can we ever get closer not only spiritually but physically to him then that.

Go to confession regularly, receive the Eucharist as often as possible and spend at least one hour a week in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament.

you must think that Jesus is an alive God and that He hopes to you came to Him, Jesus wait for you with open arms. Jeremias 3:33 says cries out to me and I will responded to you , that is like the direct line with God asking to Jesus that shows you that he is real and you Will see the salvation.

Your religion doesn't make any difference. The Church wasn't in existence while Jesus walked among us. Not until Pentecost, and then those who believed were baptized with fire and the Holy Spirit not by the will of any man nor with any man's permission. Peter said the end of your faith, brings the salvation of your souls. John told us that he wrote to us who believe on the name of the Son of God; that we may know that we have eternal life. how can you get close to Christ TRUST Him and Him only for salvation. And in so doing become His child.. Then stay close to Him by reading His word and turn your voice to Him in praise, thanksgiving and supplication, and rejoicing over Him with others who believe..... In the most intimate way possible. The way He told us to:

John 6:51-58 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats of this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.” 52 The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” 53 So Jesus said to them, “Very truly, I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood have eternal life, and I will raise them up on the last day; 55 for my flesh is true food and my blood is true drink. 56 Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood abide in me, and I in them. 57 Just as the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever eats me will live because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven, not like that which your ancestors ate, and they died. But the one who eats this bread will live forever.”

Pray the Rosary everyday. Its the prayer of the Gospels. It actually tells us....takes us through.... the life of Jesus Christ. That's all Mary does...leads us to her son. She is focused on Christ so she is our example to follow. To be focused on Christ. Remember at the Wedding Feast at Cana, she told the servants to "do whatever HE tells you." Its the same for us.
