You are not fat. Your weight is in the normal range for your height. If you feel like you have fatty areas on your body, you might not be getting enough protein or the right balance of vitamins/nutrients. Please do not buy into the Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie image of beauty. Everyone has body parts they wish were more perfect. But your are fine the way you are. Also, you are still growing and developing. Your shape will go thru a few more changes in the next few years. Take Tyra Banks for example. She was freakishly skinny in Jr. high, model skinny in high school, and then Jessica Rabbit gorgeous as an adult. Keep playing sports and eating properly, but do not stress out over not being rail thin. Real men like women with meat on their bones anyway :)

according to any standard BMI calculator you are within normal range for height and weight. While it's good that you're living a healthy lifestyle, it's not good that you think you're fat. So, here's a couple things: A) You're 12, you've got a few hellish years of awkward puberty to look forward to, but things will sort of straighten themselves out as you get older. B) You're doing great by staying active and eating healthy. Keep doing that! Setting those patterns down early will benefit you your entire life.
C) Although television/movies/etc. portray extreme skinniness as being ideal, it's really not

talk to your parents about taking you to see a dietician. they can help you pick out exercises and diets that are custom fit for you to help you lose the weight. are you sticking to your diet and exercises like glue? they only work if you're diligent and have self control. i think its great that you recognize you are overweight and are trying to do something about it and i really hope you're successful! there is a very small chance that there is a health-related reason you can't lose the weight (like a thyroid problem). you should make an appt. with a doctor to discuss your concerns just to make sure.

You sound okay to me. You're probably going to grow a couple more inches throughout the years.. If you're active, then I'm guessing your weight is made of bone mass or muscle mass, or some other.
