Read:
Joel. 2: 31; Acts. 2: 20; Revelation 6: 12. It tries to explain something like that: moon becomes in blood when God comes.

Tonight's brown moon (caused by a very common phenomenon known as an eclipse - ever heard of it?) has absolutely nothing to do with the reference in the Book of Revelations 6:12 to the moon becoming as blood during the Great Tribulation. It would do Christians well to know AND understand the details of the Bible, the foundation of their faith, so as to not look the fool and give fellow Christians a bad name.

My darling hubby took the camera and tripod out into the front yard to take photos of the HUGE and gorgeous orange moon.
Later we'll take out the telescope....
BTW, the color of the moon tonight isn't all that unusual - when there's a lunar eclipse, it's pretty common:
"When the Moon completely enters the umbra, a total lunar eclipse occurs as the Moon almost disappears from view.
Because of the scattered light in the umbra, the Moon does not completely disappear but takes on a dull red hue which brightens toward the edge of the umbra."
Check out the photo:

So it's pretty darned unlikely, what with how many lunar eclipses have happened since that ol' prophesy was written, that this one portends anything in particular.

i saw the eclipse, and the moon was indeed a deep shade of orange. read Revelation, it talks of the opening of seven seals, which are portented to bring about the end of days. many believe this indicates the fall of the church, and of the superpowers that are behind the destrutive influence that catholisism holds over the majority of Christians, regardless of the doctine they practise, and not the physical destruction of the earth itself.

The scripture you thinking of is Revelation 6:12. You must keep in mind however, that the book of Revelation is highly symbolic.

The moon has been this color before and it has done nothing to the earth. It is mentioned in the bible. But i'm sure its far off.

Better get your "Lucky Charms" out then. Purple stars, red balloons, and bloodred moons! They're all magically delicious!
