In Romans 10:6-8 it says:

6 But the righteousness of FAITH speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?'" (that is, to bring Christ down from above)

7 or, “‘Who will descend into the abyss?’”(that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).

8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”(that is, the word of faith which we preach)

What does this verse mean for you in your life? Is there something here that you can point out to me, that can help me change my life?

I know the bible is not written just for reading material, or just to believe that my "sins are forgiven" But i need to take what I read and apply it, so that I live in the way that God wants me to.

I'll try. Because Jesus bore the sins of the world he was separated from his father. He spent three days in the tomb. Hold on. Jesus actually went to hell for us but not in the way many might thing. Their were fallen angels before the flood that actually thought they won. Jesus went there to show them otherwise. He also went their for us, ICor 15. Rom 6:23 says that the wages of sin is death. He experienced hell for us but hell could not keep him. Because of his sacrifice he controlled the keys to death, ICor15.
In the old Testament the high priest went into the Holy of Hollies once a year to make an offering for the people. They would tie a rope around his leg so if God did not except the sacrifice he would kill him. If God killed the high priest who else would go in there. So they would drag him out. How do we know that God excepted the sacrifice of the priest. He came out alive.
This is a picture of Christ. Christ entered the Holy of Hollies with His own shed blood for the sins of the people. How do we know that God accepted it. Three days later He came out alive.

If you will see just before the 6th verse you started with, it talks about Moses and the era of "The Law". We are now under Grace and walk by Faith rather than trying to keep and live by the old Mosaic Law. No one can follow the Law, even if done perfectly, and acheive what Christ has done for us with His sacrafice.

I guess the real lesson that could be taken and used here is, leave your old ways and give yourself to Christ. Learn what He teaches and follow Him.

My thoughts are that we should think of Christ as living in our hearts and not out of reach as one who is dead or far away in Heaven. Jesus is present with us, especially at the Holy Mass when we celebrate the Eucharist.
