I think you have a boil. I have been through that before, but it went away after a few days.
Keep that area CLEAN

I just had the same thing happen to me, except on my left side. I went to the doctor IMMEDIATELY. It was cervical adenitis and resolved with EES three times a day X 10 days. He said if it didn't go away, then it could be lymphoma. There was no pain with mine, which was a bad sign, but after a couple of days, it was tender to the touch. You need to get to a doctor ASAP. The pain you feel is a good sign. Good luck, and I hope everything turns out okay for you.

According to Aunt Voula in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", it was her twin that never developed. I highly doubt that's the case here though...sounds like either a flea bite, spider bite, or an irritated nerve. But go to the doctor anyway if it keeps on bothering you for the next week.

lymph node. It just means you have some kind of an infection. You can go to your doctor if you want to get anitbiotics, but if nothing else seems wrong, I wouldn't worry about it. It should be gone soon.

it is a lymph node. It is perfectly normal. The node is doing its job. Give it a week or two and if it has not reduced, go to your doc, you more that likely have an infection somewhere.
