YES!!! I am always saying the wrong thing but I do have a good tip that works when I remember to use it:
wait 4 seconds before answering the question
That way you have had a bit of time to think and it makes you seem interesting!!

Usually in verbal questioning, I find it easier online because you can preview a message and you can think about it. I still make dumb mistakes though ;)
