the English letters can sometimes be misleading in terms of the exact Arabic pronunciation.
But form the looks it sounds like it comes form the verb "Jahr" which is "to announce to the public"
and "Jahir" is the person who do such an act

I am not yet sure ...but this is my best guess

No, I'm a Muslim/Arab and never heard of these names before, nor do I know any meaning to it.

( Jaaher )is a classical word which is rarely used nowadays. It's a male name and a "Jaher " is the person who do something and then go and tell every body with what happened or what he did. It comes from the verb "jahara" = جَهَرَ
so( jaaher) is the adjective from this verb ....some times it is used for "prominent".
Hope it helps

I can't trace it. But the Hebrew name Jair means "he shines" in Hebrew. In the Old Testament this is the name of both a son of Manasseh and one of the judges of the Israelites.
