I began driving a truck long haul about 10/05.

In may 06, had a bout with a bad fever and the shakes on the side of the road. I thought I was dying. Next day I noticed my left leg was very red and tender. All along the front of my shin with one particularly tender spot near the center.
Went to emergency. They gave me a couple bags of antibiotics intraveneously and a oral ab. Next day it was all cleared up.

3 months later, august, it came back. I noticed it right away. I took just oral antibiotics and it went away again.

3 weeks ago it back, but both legs. Back of my right leg and same place on left leg. Almost like legs crossed and it spread. Went to a clinic and got oral ab. It did nothing. Got another oral ab from another, no help. Home friday got a doctor here. He gave me a shot and an oral ab, no affect. This really hurts now much worse than before. Both legs bleed and burn. No blood before. Going back to doc tomorrow, I need intravenous I think.

Just in case you are wondering, the doc that cut me today says he thinks this was insect bite induced this time. Some spider or something got me in both legs. Should be better in a week or so. At least I got some time off work. They are slavers I tell you. This will be the longest stint I've spent at home in my house since I bought it. 11 days in a row! I might actually get something done. Ouch *leg pain*! *Whimper* but then maybe not.

Cellulitis aka MRSA is a spreading infection of the skin that usually begins as a small area of tenderness, swelling, and redness on the skin. As this red area begins to spread, the person may develop a fever, sometimes with chills and sweats, and swollen lymph nodes ("swollen glands") near the area of infected skin.

Some cases of cellulitis appear on areas of trauma, where the skin has broken open, such as the skin near ulcers or surgical wounds. Many times, however, cellulitis occurs where there has been no break in the skin at all. In such cases, it is anyone's guess where the bacteria came from. Patients who have diabetes or impairment of the immune system (for example, from HIV/AIDS or from drugs that depress the immune system) are particularly prone to developing cellulitis.

The signs of cellulitis are those of any inflammation; redness, warmth, swelling, and pain. Any skin wound or ulcer that exhibits these signs may be developing cellulitis.

Other forms of noninfected inflammation may mimic cellulitis. People with poor leg circulation, for instance, often develop scaly redness on the shins and ankles; this is called "stasis dermatitis" and is often mistaken for the bacterial infection of cellulitis.

Staph (Staphylococcus aureus) is the most common bacteria that causes cellulitis. (MRSA)

Strep (Group A Streptococcus) is next most common bacteria that causes cellulitis. A form of rather superficial cellulitis caused by strep is called erysipelas; it is characterized by spreading hot, bright red circumscribed area on the skin with a sharp raised border. The so-called "flesh-eating bacteria" are, in fact, also a strain of strep which can in severe cases destroy tissue almost as fast as surgeons can cut it out.

Cellulitis is not contagious because it is an infection of the skin's deeper layers, the dermis and subcutaneous tissue, and the skin's top layer (the epidermis) provides a cover over the infection. In this regard, cellulitis is different from impetigo in which there is a very superficial skin infection that can be contagious.

First, it is crucial for the doctor to distinguish whether or not the inflammation is due to an infection. The history and physical exam can provide clues in this regard, as can sometimes the white blood cell count. A culture for bacteria may also be of value.

When it is difficult or impossible to distinguish whether or not the inflammation is due to an infection, doctors sometimes treat with antibiotics just to be sure. If the condition does not respond, it may need to be addressed by different methods dealing with types of inflammation that are not infected. For example, if the inflammation is thought to be due to an autoimmune disorder, treatment may be with a corticosteroid.

Ask your doctor about Bactrim DS, Bactroban Ointment 2%, &
using Hibiclens solution(available over the counter). They worked really well for me. :) Since using I have not had any recurring issues.

P.S. Remember whatever oral AB you are given take as directed until finished.(DO NOT SAVE ANY!!!) It can be the difference from it happening again & getting worst. It is life threating if not kept in check.

the purpose of this dream is twofold: to make you do something to prevent an event AND to prepare you mentally in case it does occur this event is of course, your car getting broken into again. there probably was alot of fear associated with your first car break-in, due to a reduced sense of security for you (what if I was in the car at the time? what if i got carjacked?). the two purposes of the dream, if fulfilled in your waking life, should not crop up in your dreams, which just means you have to face your fears, and do something about preventing this from happening again. of course, you might not know how and feel helpless, which is also the reason why a dream like this would recur. in this case the second purpose of the dream is fulfilled: you dream of this so many times, in fact if your car does get broken into again, it wouldnt have but a fraction of the impact as the first time did.
