Turn the other cheek?

In the sermon on the mount, Jesus said if you are hit on the right cheek, do not punch the SOB out, but just turn the other cheek. Was Jesus being conservative or liberal ?

first of all Jesus was speaking of a slap, something meant as an insult, not something to cause serious injury. He was showing us that we should be strong enough to not retaliate against someone if they just try to draw us into a fight or insult us. He is neither conservative or liberal. He is intent on doing all that God says to do and he is the perfect reflection of God.
