I just received an invitation upon referal from the people from the little rock pageant. They say i was reccomended.. i don't know how or from who. I would love to do it but at the moment my mother is being "stubborn" about it. I'd be in the Jr. teen division and this is the preliminary pageant before heading unto orlando,florida for miss teen usa. i realy think this would be a great experience for me and i'd love to do it. I just don't know what my mom's deal is.. i don't know where to go from here. this would be my secong pageant. but my first "major" one. what do you guys think? I'm 15 by the way

Wow, good for you!! I want to start out by saying congrats!! Anyway, tell your mom that this actually means a lot to you. As long as you will stay commited to it, there should not be a problem. I think you should go out there and kick some azz!

Pageants are a waste of time and money. They scam the entrants for fees and award phony prizes. No one who wins ever becomes a real beauty queen. You can enter the Miss Teen USA contest without entering pageants.

Tell your mom how you really feel.Tell her this would be a great expirience for you and it would progress you in your pageants.Tell her you'd love to do it and you don't understand why she's being so hard on you.Tell her you really would love to do this..Pour your heart out.
