Free Video Merger?

I have ripped a DVD and have got the .vob files so if I convert them to .avi is there a way to join them with a free Video Merger?
If so please tell me where I can get one.
Please no trial software just freeware

Do a search for a program called "DVD SHRINK". This will do the job for you........and it's free! Latest version is V3.2
