Try Swanson's Skinny Mashed Potatoes
Skinny Mashed Potatoes
5 large potatoes, cut into 1-inch pieces (about 7 1/2 cups)
2 cans (14 1/2 ounces each) Swanson Chicken Broth (3 1/2 cups)
Generous dash pepper
In medium saucepan place uncooked potatoes and broth. Over high heat, heat to a boil. Reduce heat to medium. Cover and cook 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Drain, reserving broth.
Mash potatoes with 1 1/4 cups broth and pepper. If needed, add additional broth with potatoes until potatoes are desired consistency.
Makes about 6 servings

this is the best mashed potato recipe, ever. Bake 6 russet potatoes, these must be baking potatoes. Bake until done. Take out, cut in half and dump into a bowl with one stick of butter, salt and white (or black) pepper. Mash until butter in melted and slowly add half and half to the mixture. Do not over mash or mixture will turn glutenous. add half and half, about half a cup. taste for seasoning, serve immediately. Yummilicious

2 pounds baking potatoes, cooked until tender
3/4 to 1 cup hot milk
2 tbsp butter
4 ounces sliced American cheese, cut in small squares
3/4 cup shredded extra sharp Cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp pepper
Pinch cayenne pepper
Mash potatoes with half the milk and butter. Add cheese, then remaining milk and butter and seasonings. Beat until creamy.
I also like to use about half a can of cream of mushroom soup,
or make garlic ones with cream and garlic power.

Boil potatoes with garlic and drain. Use olive oil, thyme , lovage, oregano to create a full flavor. The lovage is a great replacer for salt as is parsley. It will be something new, give it a try. If its farfetched and you're still missing the salt, use a little parmesan. Its strong flavor and the concentration will help you to miss the salt your not getting.
