Possibly because he or she behaves by and large in much the same way, morally speaking, as Christians do. Morality is not the exclusive province of Christianity, or any other religion.
Morality is to some extent the product of evolution. (Oh, NO! Not evolution!) We are genetically predisposed to behave in certain ways because we are social animals. This predisposition has been shaped and refined over the centuries of human societal evolution (Oh, NO! He said it again!!!).
From clans, through tribes, through the first urban environments after the advent of agriculture, humans have been learning how to live together. Long before the Judeo-Christian tradition developed there were moral and ethical societies, many of which were not theistic.
You really ought to get out and meet a wider variety of people.

Because they're not false morals. Atheists aren't good only because they fear punishment in some afterlife. They're good because they use their brains, common sense, and empathy for their fellow human beings. There's an awful lot of Christians on here who seem to think that if it wasn't for a book & preacher telling them not to, they'd be out raping, stealing, and killing. That's pretty scary.

They lack superstitious prejudice so it's a foregone conclusion that atheists can have good morals.
