i walked for an hour and went shopping for an hour also....the walk was fast and brisk and alot was against the wind...could i eat whatever i want and not gain a pound?

You would SPEND more energy, that would allow you to eat MORE calories, but not exactly "Whatever"

No. Both are good exercises, but you could not eat whatever you wanted and not gain a pound.
