I have used Limewire, and do not really like it.
Bearshare, I liked it a lot, but then they wanted to start charging me :[

I need something free forever, and will not give me viruses or anything. My computer is still very young, and I don't want anything to happen to it.

thank you

dc++ is the way to go....

full browsable shared folders with full album rips (no need to piece together songs to make an album)

all kinds of software....all the ps2 and xbox dvds....movies (both divx as well as full dvd images)...any kind of software you could want including the keygens and activation workarounds. Mostly direct from the major crack teams releases with no worries

I've been getting from dc for several years and haven't found a virus yet. Hundreds of good hubs to connect to with small share requirements and several thousand users....typical hub has about 250TB of data.

If you don't want viruses then you need to use a legal downloading site. That means no Limewire, Frostwire, bittorrent or other P2P clients. The problem is that most legal sites charge for their use, since they pay money to the artists. Here's some info on legal sources of music:

Limewire is ancient. There are plenty of better ones, just check this list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_file_sharing_applications

Try shareaza maybe.
