My female (spayed) Shadow was recently mounted by a male (kitten!) and she also had her privates sniffed by another boy that was in our house. He followed our poor Shadow around sniffing her and even licking her a few times. Only the little kitten tried to mount her. I wonder if that was a dominance thing seeing as a kitten less than 5 months old would feel the need to reproduce.
So in essence yes, a un-fixed cat may try to get it on with a fixed cat.
I believe it may be a dominance thing more than a mating thing. Or even an attention please like me thing. Cats can tell when one is fixed or not.

It can happen but isn't that common-throw water at the other cat if she won't attack him
My cat Sasha is spayed and a strange tom tried to mount her once ages ago when she was about 2(she's now 9)-she is half Scottish Wildcat and huge for a cat-she nearly killed the muppet.Oddly he never did it again lol.

Yes, cats will sometimes have sex even if they are BOTH fixed.
I once had a spayed cat and a neutered cat that would have sex all the time. It was pretty funny to watch, because their faces got all twisted up... very very dirty.

Hello Milly,
ONLY female cats are spayed!! Male cats are castrated or
"fixed". If your spayed female cat is being bothered by another
cat, it most certainly IS a male.

It depends on the individual animals involved. I once had a spayed female cat that was constantly being harassed by my sister's male rabbit. We called him the raper rabbit!

Sadly yes - I used to have a spayed female cat that was 'raped' several times !
She would come in, torn and bleeding - very unsettling.

no... they do not exude the sex pheromones anymore. The mounting behavior displayed by spayed or neutered cats is dominance related. The cat that is mouting another is establishinh his or her dominance over the cat that is under.

Yes, I don't believe it matters to a cat anymore than it would matter to a human. whether or not either party has been fixed. They still have sexual urges.
