I've been able to find pictures of fireworks and pictures of tattoos, but not tattoos of fireworks...which makes me somewhat happy that it's not something that's been done a lot. I don't want the same thing everyone else has.

Yes I have seen tattoos of firecrackers exploding and of course the old school black bomb with lit fuse. In fact I saw the coolest tattoo at www.staircasetattoos.com It was two chinese children lighting fireworks......

Print out whatever pictures of fireworks you like best and take them to a custom artist. If you cant print talk to local artists and email if possible, most shops have internet access.

Take your pictures to a good custom artist, they will be able to draw you up something from your pictures and directions. Be sure to check portfolios and ask about their custom work before hand so you know you're talking to the right person for the job. If at any point you do not feel comfotable with them or the shop WALK AWAY. Your gut can lead you better than your eyes in this situation. Make sure they can give you what YOU want.

Prolly not a lot of fireworks tattoos because really, can you get the same effect as what we see in the night sky? I would think you would have to have a lot of background shading around them, otherwise you won't have much of an effect.

I would also think you would need at least three different ones in the "scene" to make it really appear as fireworks. Is that what you are thinking?

At any rate, I think it would look great if the artist is really good! Just be sure it is not cartoonish.

Thats funny because I seriously have searched my life away to find one, finally I drew up my own stuff. I have wanted a fireworks tattoo for a while, it means alot to me, my birthday is july 3rd and my family and I would go every year for as long as i could remember and I have been in love with fireworks ever since. Me and my mother dont talk anymore but we always bonded over that and would have the best time over the 3rd and 4th of july. It was our fav holiday. I know I just gave you the low down on my life but I didnt want you to think i was stealing your idea, and I love the hip placement, and as long as its not a significant amount of wieght that you lose and gain then it should be fine. or if you just get huge then theyll just be bigger fireworks! :D Good luck, and if your serious about getting it go to an artist and see what he can do.
