we were close, like we were in a relationship, almost there.
he left on a trip for a wk and he came back talking ab this other girl, how he doesnt want her to like him for what he does but who he is.
i feel like he likes her, but i dont think they are going out.
i feel sad, i thought it was "us"
he asked me why i was sad. i said nothing
then my friend said he stared at me a few times when he was near me.
now we never say hi like we use to, but just stare at eachother and twitch our mouth like this half dead smile.
i dont know if i should just be his friend but it would be too hurtful, my mind says leave him but my heart says no.
i dont know if he knows why im acting this way.
and i dont know if hes a jerk.
its been a few days, and i miss him
i dont want him to take me for granted?

If he likes that other girl, then he's not worth it because he won't be able to give you the love you need. Don't be so sad. It's not the end of the world. There are plenty of guys that can appreciate your love and who you are.

From a guy's perspective I will say, tell him exactly how you feel about him. Matbe he is wondering how you fell about him. At 48, I have learned a lot in life. If you want something, you have to go for it, or you will never have it, nor know if you could of had it.

Tell him you like him. Men are kinda stupid they don't get it. I know it's really hard and I can imagin how you felt when he said 'he doesnt want her to like him for what he does but who he is" Because I'm sure that's the way you feel about him. You should tell him this.
Me and my boyfriend used to go out every friday before we ever started dating, He really liked me and I really like him but neither of us said anything. He never asked me out because he though I just liked him as a friend and that it would ruin our friendship. Finally I just said "I like you stupid" and he started to catch on.
