You don't need to find Jesus' bones to prove Christianity is all wrong. Just one look at the "Holy Bible" is enough convince any sane person. ;-)

A cineaste (movie producer) claims that a tomb discovered in 1980 contains the bones of Jesus, of his wife Mary Magdalene, and his child Judas! However, the archaeologists claim that it is not so. The names Jesus, Mary. Judas, Matthew, were very common at the time. If Jesus' body could have been produced, don't you think the religious leaders would have produced it when the disciples began proclaiming the resurrection? But they couldn't. they were totally stumped.
Even if we didn't believe in the resurrection and we accepted that he would have married and had a child, archaeologists tell us that the probability of those being his bones would be about 1 in 10.
Because of my belief, I go further and say 0 in 10.
The cineaste who is making this claim is James Cameron, producer of Titanic and The Terminator. He has been strongly criticized by many for playing fast and loose with the facts in Titanic.
The purpose of all this publicity, of course, is to make a lot of money. It seems he never has quite enough.
So he tries to go one up on the DaVinci Code novel.
The Israeli archaeologist, who was the first to examine the find, said that he can not accept that these were the bones of the Holy Family. He said it is all about money and publicity for the film.

First of all, which do you care to believe, man, or the Bible? Secular history of that era even speaks of the resurrection of Jesus. If Jesus had truly just died, as anyone else does, do you really think that the disciples would endure all that is recorded that they endured, knowing that it was all untrue? I seriously doubt it. These men and women were not stupid. If Jesus had truly just died as any one else, and they had taken His body as has been claimed by the religious leaders of that day, to fake His resurrection, do you really believe that they could sustain such a lie? Would you? There are grounds for reasonable thought here, and none of the claims of today ring true. In addition to all of that is being said, "Jesus" was a popular name of that era. With that in mind, those bones could belong to anyone, and by all evidence of all facets of known history, human characteristics, the desire for self preservation, and the Bible, those bones do not belong to the Jesus who was crucified, and rose again from the dead. Besides, how would untrained men and women convince the Roman gaurds at the tomb to look the other way when their very life depended on obeying the commands given to them to keep His followers away? Disobedience for them was death. Why also, as recorded in not just the Bible, but in Jewish text, and secular history were the gaurds told not to be concerned, the disappearance would be blamed on His disciples. If the leaders knew better, don't you think they would have sounded an alarm about an unauthorized body abduction?

They did not find Jesus' bones. They found "what they believe to be" Jesus' bones. While the logic is sound, it's far from proven to be fact.
They found the remains of four people in a tomb. Two named Mary, one named Jesus and one named Judah, son of Jesus. While the age of the tomb was about right, those names were very common in that time and it could all boil down to simple co-incidence.
I hope this is helpful :-)

John Cameron of Titanic fame has filmed a story about a tomb that purports to have contained the body of Christ, his son, and wife.
Cameron is pandering to the public and his "discovery" will be proven to be just bad science:
- The statistical analysis is not rigorous
- The name "Jesus" was a popular name at that time, appearing in 98 other tombs and on 21 other ossuaries
- There is no historical evidence that Jesus was ever married or had a child
- The earliest followers of Jesus never called him, "Jesus, son of Joseph"
- It's unlikely Joseph, who had died earlier in Galilee, would have been buried in Jerusalem
- The Talipot tomb and ossuaries probably would have belonged to a rich family, which is not a historical match for Jesus
- Fourth-century church historian Eusebius makes quite clear the body of James, brother of Jesus, was buried alone near the temple mount.
- The two Mary ossuaries do not mention anyone from Migdal, but just Mary, a common name
- By all ancient accounts, the tomb of Jesus was empty, making it unlikely that any body was moved, allowed to decay for a year, then be put into an ossuary.
- If Jesus had remained in the tomb, first-century opponents of Christianity would most certainly have found His body and put it on public display.
- Amos Kloner, the first archaeologist to examine the site, said the conclusions cannot be supported by the evidence but it's a way to make money on television. He would have nothing to do with supporting the movie's assertions. "It's nonsense," he said.
- James, the half-brother of Jesus and author of the book of James, the early leader of the church in Jerusalem, was martyred for his faith. Why does James make no mention in his letter that Jesus was not bodily resurrected? When he was about to die why didn't he just recant his beliefs and say, 'Okay, okay! My brother didn't rise from the dead. Here's where we took him. Here's where his bones are. Here's our family tomb. We made the whole thing up?' People will generally not die for a lie when they know it's a lie. Why would James die perpetuating a lie when it would have been so easy to disprove? In fact why would any of the apostles go to their deaths for something they knew to be false?
As I have expected, there has been **no scientific or historical find** that has ever been shown to disprove the authenticity of the bible's history or theology.
Kind of sad to see that all it takes is a press conference for folks to form life-altering opinions versus taking the time to rationally examine all the issues and dig a little deeper. It is the Macdonald's generation: fast, superficial, and never satisfying.

What they found were bones of someone named Jesus and Mary and others. The names were quite common in the first century. Jesus Christ of Nazareth was a unique individual. There was only one of Him at the time. He was resurrected and ascended up into heaven. The finders of the bones admitted thatwhat they found weren't the remains of our Savior. All they had to do was to suggest it and the overactive minds of the media grabbed ahold of it and our minds are going wild with the idea of our savior being found. He was never lost. We knew where He is. Don't feed into this devil made foolishness!!

in Exodus they teach you "do not believe everythign you see or hear". Satan is the master of deception and this bit of anybdy saying they found bones from Jesus is just a bad concocted lie to fool those who do not know much about Jesus, God and the Word.
Beware for satan can tell you throw yourself out the window and you will do it, if you start believing these lies from da vinci code crap to this you brought up because other satan followers or ignorant very ignorant fools perhaps already under demonic forces want others to get the wrong msg and go against Jesus who is not a bone in this earth nowhere.
Remember how they also had found a burial stone crate for what ppl said it was Jesus brother's or the like and it ended up being a very well engineered fake!
When you ocme up with ppl that claim against Jesus, and you have doubts, ask God to give you the truth in a msg , i guarantee you soemthing will happen that you will see the truth. Just beware coz satan also tries to get in and trick you.

Some old vessels of bones where discovered years ago and were setting around in an old storage place for this type of thing. They recently surfaced. The names were similar to those in the bible. But there are indeed popular names.
So they are doing what testing they can to try and date things.

based on the sheer form of stars you will see interior the sky once you're out interior the rustic with out gentle pollutants around i might say confident there are extraterrestrial beings. it would be smug (and commonly used) of the human race to think of that of each and every of the stars interior the universe that fill our sky basically our little earth is able to keeping existence. previous that who's to declare that our definition of existence is somewhat the and who says that a planet must be like earth for existence to exist. Fish stay below water, people can't (of course), does not propose that because of fact the situations are not suited for us that existence can't exist there. in simple terms because of fact we gained't stay to tell the tale a planet with out environment or a severe radiation count form does not propose that yet another style of existence could not.

There's a documentary on tomorrow that claims they were discovered. No one has the full story yet. Ask again tomorrow after we've all seen it. :D
It's funny to see so many people discredit the idea before they've even heard what the archeologists have to say. Or heard any evidence one way or the other. Christian Open-mindedness at it's finest.

It's not all over the news because the news and everyone else is trying to protect the Christian beliefs. If they went out and told everyone that they were his bones, then Christianity would be destroyed... :D They could be his bones, they might not be...either way, people won't believe it if they have a strong faith for what they believe in.
