Put some drops of lemon juice and beer into your shampoo. There's also the sun-in; you spray it in your hair and lay in the sun a little while, or use your blow-dryer (it's heat-activated). All of these will be likely to lighten your hair.
Basically, spending a lot of time outside, in the sun will lighten your hair.
Good luck!

The sun. Supposedly lemon juice.
But if you actually want to lighten them efficiently you should just use peroxide! You can get something like Sun-In that lightens really gradually and looks subtle, so you won't look like you went and bleached it.

lime juice is the best thing you can put on your dread, the ancient celts used lime juice to lighten and clean their dread, as well as tighten them. i just answered another question like this so scroll the hair section for more detailed info, under 'residue free shampoo'. to lighten, apply lime juice and then get in the sun or under a uv light if you live in england!

Not naturally, but not harmfully.
They sell stuff at the chemist called sun-in i think, it's a spray and you leave it in your hair everyday when your out in the sun, i used to use it before i was allowed to dye my hair, and it does work (gradually) you'll notice a difference over a week of good sun
