If children could visit all the places they read about they would be experiencing authentic learning that would impact their lives immensely. Most people don't learn well by simply reading about something. Experiencing something first hand makes a huge impression. The LA school district should encourage field trips to places within their budget.

And no, people don't ask to be born....none of us did; what's your point?

What does your question have to do with the statement you made after it? The question alone doesn't make much sense, and your other statement makes it even more incomprehensible.

And what does it have to do with botany, anyway?
