What about the people covering the rest of the planet? No. Just the tiny strip of land with a tiny sect of people in this tiny frame of time, no one else. God concentrates his efforts to tiny percentage of 'chosen' people? odd..
Did the real God make himself known to anyone else at the time in any other part of the world? Or you wouldn't know because it's not in the bible?
I mean, since Hinduism is older than Judaism, How did God manage to concentrate all his universal powers and energy with one teeny tiny group of Middle Eastern Jews?
Does that seem at all strange to you?

Sorry, but that is very odd. like I said, there are other religions that are older, or just as old as Judaism, and they have their own, very wise and very interesting books on God. And at least their God wasn't into animal and human sacrifice, I mean, if THAT'S the REAL God, what does that say about the truth of the world we know today? Surely, there is a wiser, more mature God than the Jewish one! because that one is pretty tyrannical and petty......hard to believe THAT one created the indifferently awesome universe we have only recently discovered today.

Uh, you would surprise me a lot if you could find an example of God actually finding human sacrifices pleasing. The only example I can think of is probably Isaac, but God was testing Abraham's faith, and in fact saved Isaac's life when his father almost followed through. In respect to your other question, God was making a statement that through a small group of people He could do great things. Throughout the Old Testament when God helped the Jews they would overcome the "super power countries" of the time. If you think about it, it was through a group of eight people (Noah and his family) that God showed His Might to the world. God, in short, knows the majority of men will fail to recognize Him as the reason they are alive. Another good point is that though Judaism is not as old, Adam and Eve where already living under a law: do not eat of the this one tree. (As far as I have been able to gather Hindus don't have a beginning in their text).

Not at all the Jews were his people and humanity his creation.
BTW in response to what you wrote earlier: "Guess what? Slavery is in the New Testament as well, Jesus himself talks of obeying your master. It is condoned by God, obviously, It begs the question with you..why not have it today? Is it OK for Jews to own slaves now? What about for Xtians punishing other religions for worshiping wrong, why not?"
Paul did discuss many times slaves being obedient not because slavery was condoned by God or a great thing, but was merely tolerated. God along the way had to make PROVISIONS for things like divorce and slavery because if he didnt, things wouldve been 5 times as worse than what they are. But because the Bible makes provisions for it, doesnt make it right. In fact Paul even says if you can be a free man, do it! Man was meant to be free, not be bought and sold as property but always do remember it was MANKIND that did it.
Were you a slave when you were called? Don't let it trouble you—although if you can gain your freedom, do so. -1 Corinthians 7:21
From what I gather from the NT, the old covenant for all intense and purposes is disolved. Although some Jews would probably disagree with me and say that its not, its just taken a different form. So I believe they would not have justification for taking slaves to this day.
As far as Christians "punishing other religions for worshipping wrong." I do not know what you are referring to. But I do know today that no churches engage in violence or force nor condone any such activity.

Hi. Happy Sabbath. God ruled (& still rules) over the entire universe, but the Jews (closely) followed God's ways and His teachings. They kept God's Sabbath, etc. (However, they don't believe Jesus is the Messiah.)
On a much smaller scale, it's similar to being in the classroom. The lessons r taught to the entire class; kids can choose 2 be students (those who study) or pupils (those who player). The outcomes r based on their choices. If they do well, it's their doing; if they fail, it's still their doing... The teacher hopes everyone will choose to do well, but there is freedom of choice. It's the freedom of choice. Take care.

Firstly, God owns the universe and He can rule any way He wants to. He is sovereign. Just happens that this God has revealed Himself to be loving, and to be the personification of love. From the beginning He has allowed man to have the power of choice: to go along with Him or to go it alone without Him. We all started from Adam and Eve and then the flood left only Noah and his family. From Noah's offspring, Abraham was more obedient to God's voice. From him came the Jews for the main reason of preserving God's love and giving birth to Jesus ...The Jews, in general, rejected Jesus and killed Him. But that very death paid up the penalty for any of our sins and opened salvation up to the whole world. He won't force any group of people or any individual. But God would certainly like to see everyone saved! John 3:16 states, "For God so loved THE WORLD that He gave His only Son that WHOSOEVER believes in Him should not perish but have EVERLASTING life." The invitation goes to every tribe, language and people, but Jesus is the only way to God. God made the universe and it gives Him the right to write the manual. He certains knows best. It's foolish to argue with the Maker of all things!

Yes there were quite a bit of people that populated the earth, but God pick the Jews becasue they were the most whiniest miserable people who has ever lived at that time period. He decided if he could convert the Jews from their wonton and pagan ways, then prophecy would be fulfilled. To this day this is still the objective.

there's a theory on the dimensions of time it took for God to create the universe. you'll hit upon it exciting. in accordance to the e book of Genesis, God did not create the sunlight and the moon till the 4th day. although there become "evening and morning" on the first "day" there become no longer a transition of dates. Our sense of time (fairly days) is determined via the sunlight starting to be and the sunlight putting. If there is no sunlight to upward push and set then are there easily days to bypass? because of this little bit of advantageous judgment, it would properly be determined that the first "4 days" were no longer easily days. For all all of us understand, those 4 days would have lasted thousands or perhaps thousands and thousands of years.

As a Jew I will state that its quite possible even probable that other religions were set up in other nations for other people by G-d.
It is quite possible that Hinduism and/or other eastern religions are divinely inspired.
If you notice Jews unlike other Abramatic religions dont go out seeking converts. We accept them if they come though.
Our faith and practice is for ourselves we do not force it on anyone else and wish everyone else well to believe or disbelieve what they desire. All we ask is to be left in peace.

One thing that we have to remember is that it is not that God chose to rule over this tiny sect of Jews but that God chose this unlikely group of people to reveal himself to the world. It is not that God was absent up until this point, he was very active all the way up to the point of Noah and even beyond. Remember that up until the Tower of Babel most everyone was basically in one location then after Babel they were scattered. Yes you are right that Hinduism began (2500 B.C.E) before God called Abram (1921 B.C.E.) out of Ur. It probably began because of the dispersal after Babel. I think the main thing we need to remember though is that it was God's plan to use the Hebrew people to reveal his power and glory to the world. One other thing to note that it was not until God called Abram that the Hebrew people began their heritage. It was not until many generations later that they recieved the name of Jews.

God used the Jews as his chosen people to set up for his son Jesus and to spread to the rest of the world. Through them God got to everyone, by the new testament most of the Jewish people were scattered so that they could tell everyone about God. God works in mysterious ways that's why we are supposed to have faith because we can't possibly understand everything from our point of view. Trust that the Lord knows what is best for us.

Maybe it's like the sims? Ever felt how difficult these guys could be in the game? The less to take care of, the better, right?
I would not be surprised if this is the same way to God in real life. Given human history and our track records, we are one big head acheto deal with and maybe he thought it be easy to deal with the few of us instead all of us.
