I have been wanting to get my lip pierced for a while and have thought a lot about it. I was talking to my friend whose stepdad has pierced his eyebrow, nose, and lip and some point or another. He and his piercer both said the higher up the piercing is on your face, the more it hurts. But I got my eyebrow pierced and it hardly hurt at all. The worst part was the clamps. Does that mean I have a high pain tolerance and it won't hurt bad at all?

Lip piercings don't honestly hurt. The clamp hurt the most for me.
It's a little awkward to eat with it. And it hurts like a b24714itch when you accidently bite it.
Ask your piercer to put in a labret flat back to heal with, though. It'll lessen the chance you have of a bump and it'll save the piercing a lot of being bumped around.

Getting my lip pierced hurt more than getting my nipples pierced, honestly.
I have a high pain tolerance, but I will never get my lip done again. The piercer struggled a little, which is probably why my experience was so painful. I suggest going to a very reputable piercer for this piercing.

I have had many facial peircings including my eyebrow, nose, labret, lip, and tongue, along with my ears. My lips were one of the least painful, and my boyfriend has his snakebites, and he wasn't in too much pain either.
As for your eyebrow not hurting, mine did either. I'm not saying you don't have a high pain tolerance, and everyone is different, but my eyebrow hurt the least, and my lips hurt slightly more, but not much at all.
And if you think your piercing will look good, then go for it! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and it is YOUR body afterall =)

The lip is different from the eyebrow. It's supposed to be one of the most painful places that is commonly pierced. However they do it very quickly so it shouldn't really be that bad anyways! If you didn't mind the eyebrow the lip should be a little worse, but not enough to give you any reason to be scared!

well getting your eyebrow, lip and bellybutton are meant to be equally sore, on a scale of one to ten its supposed to be about a five. i got a bar in my ear and it was meant to be around an eight and i didnt find it sore. I'd say if you didnt find your eyebrow sore then you have a pretty high tolerance for pain.

It seems like the lip would hurt more because there's more skin to poke through. Just a guess, though..

i got my monroe piercing 4 years ago & it didn't hurt a bit. i recently got my belly button pierced & that hurt 10x more than my monroe. itall depends if your sensitive in a certain are of your body.

Getting your lip pierced will look great...that is until you take it out in 20 years and the hole looks like a huge blackhead on your lip.

Don't get one...you will look like a freak...don't ruin the body that god gave you... I only got my ears peirced 2 times.
