realize it was a mistake and learned people don't change? and what were some of the signs?

Actually, I was dumped by my gf after 2 yrs. I was thinking of marriage and apparently she was not. So after 4 years of not even speaking to one another I bumped into her....(you have to remember that during this 4 year period she was occasionally on my mind from time to time) So we started talking again and all the old feelings came back (good and bad) We decided to try it again, and after two or three months I realized that her dumping me years ago was the right thing. She had changed over the 4 yrs and she was not the girl I was in love with before. We remain close friends, just not romantically attached. I do love her tremendously I am just not "in love" with her. I am glad that I had the opportunity to clear myself of the situation and finally reach a healthy closure.
So in response to part of your question, I think some people are capable of change...but is that always a good thing? (be carefull what you ask for, because you just might get it)

I went back with an ex like 15 times because i thought he would change, he did change some things finally but you will learn people change only when they want to change, not when you want them to.

My bf and I broke up 3 times. I went back when he asked me to come back. We got married 2 1/2 years later and after being married he divorced me 10 months into our marriage!
Yes I was stupid in my 20's!!!

People do change. Apparently you just had a gf that just doesnt mix with your personality whats so ever!

I believe people do change when they want to, we always take risks, in new relationships! Just need to love yourself to know what is best for you. You know it in your heart, and if you have to ask that is because you feel troubled, and confused. Just move on to be safe, and tell him you need to really think it over!

...I in simple terms made one...i replaced into helping my son's lady chum make a reveal for her keep window and forgot something i mandatory, so we improvised and it got here out extra advantageous than the 1st plan :)
