ok here is my story, my refund was accepted 2/1/07 i was suppose to received my refund 2/16/07 never happened than the date changed to 2/20/07 never happened than it changed to 3/2/07 okay on that last date 3/2/07 i called the irs 6 times and was told that my refund was indeed in process to deposit before midnight, than when i went back on line to check the status it stated that my refund is being process and if i don't receive it in the next 4 weeks to call them and metion ref# 1221 well hell i called them after receiving that message and they stated that they don't see that message and that my refund was being deposited today, so i called hsbc to see if they had received it and they said no that the irs has not sent it so i'm trying to figure out what is going on why is the irs saying they sent it and the automated system is telling me other wise i have already waited a month i have no issues with my tax return or flags everythings ligit so what is the problem with all the delays....

HI I'M HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM I FLIED ON 2/8 AND IT WAS ACCEPTED BY THE IRS LIKE YOU I GOT THOSE SAME DATES AND THOSE SAME PROBLEM WHEN I CALLED THEY SAID MINE WAS BEING DEPOSITED TODAY I CALLED AND THEY SAID IT WAS NOT DEPOSITED AND TO EXPECT A NOTICE ON 3/16 IF I DON'T HEAR FROM THEM AFTER 4 WEEKS HAVE COME UP EXPECT ANOTHER NOTICE OR MY CHECK I'M JUST SO TRIED RIGHT NOW BECAUSE I GOT BILLS I MOST PAY AND WAITING ON THE IRS IS STARTING TO GET ON MY LAST NERVES.

So sorry to hear that, it totally does not make sense either for them to give you a deposit date and then not do it, and then when you call, tell you that their computer shows they are deposting it that day.....and then NOTHING! How frustrating that the IRS employees cannot even figure it out to give you a correct answer. Normally a reference code like that means there is a delay processing your return, so I can't understand why you would see that message on the Where's My Refund page and yet the IRS is saying they don't see that message? Something is just not right---I don't know what to tell you. I efiled on 2/1 and actually got my deposit on 2/16 although mine did not get routed through HSCB. Hopefully they will clear this up and you will have your refund soon. Hang in there~

I can't help you with the computer errors from the IRS. I will say, this is one more reason NOT to give the IRS an interest free loan. I have arranged to OWE the IRS a small amount each of the last 2 years. The can't delay the check I send them. Even if they do, as long as its mailed on time, it doesn't matter when the get it.
