The furniture making capital of the USA is located in North Carolina in the Hickory and Highpoint areas in the western end of the state. There are factory outlets and showrooms everywhere in those areas. Best advice is to take a road trip and wear comfortable shoes. The deals can be very good in many of these places. As for recommending just one, that is all but impossible. Much depends on your budget and the type of furniture you are looking for. I do know, that you are very likely to find what you want in the area.

Good luck with your furniture shopping.

It depends on what kind of furniture and what your budget is. I personally like IKEA (www.ikea.com) a lot. Great design and prices but not the best quality.
