Get it cut first. About a centimeter...use a really good conditioner and shampoo. Crite shine works well. Eat healthy foods ONLY no junk food. In a month your hair should grow more than an inch!!!

THREE THINGS THAT HAVE REALLY HELPED ME:
1) KEEP YOUR HAIR HEALTHY!!! DO NOT OVER DYE!! you'll just end up having to constantly cut your hair to cut off the damage.
2) After you condition your hair in the shower......turn the water to freezing cold, 3) and put your head upside down under the cold water to massage and rinse.
The cold water gives your scalp goose bumps, which pushes the hair follicle out further, and holding your head upside down makes the blood rush to your scalp which makes your hair grow faster. So does massaging your scalp. The blood rush is important for faster hair growth.

Rub 1 quart of bacon grease into your scalp and hair; then let your dog lick it off. That will act similar to fertilizer on a plant. I hope you have a pair of shears handy!
