Try using Loreal excellence Hi-color you can get any color that you like blond, red, or orangish highlights. This product is made only for dark hair so it will come out. I also suggest do not use a cap if you have long hair, because you will only be going through hell and you will not the results that you want. It will also be especially hard to take the cap off once you are done, and if you try pulling it you will yank out so many hairs and you will regret it! If you use the cap then your high-lights will be very suttle and thin. People might not even notice that you did anything at all. so you might want do it with the wand or just get it done in a salon with foil, and especially in a salon do not let them do it with a cap. Well I hope this helped!

Don't get blonde, nothing looks worse!!! Maybe streaks a few shades lighter than your own hair. I have dark brown hair and have caramel colour highlights and I am always getting compliments on my hair. If your hair is almost black caramel might be too light.

Look for actresses/models with similar hair color and skin tone that you admire. Courtney Cox looked amazing when she started dying her hair a deep, glossy chocolate brown. Brunettes are so in right now, live it up! Whatever you do, try and find a colorist- not a hairstylist, a colorist. They're more trained than the average hairstylist to determine if auburn hair will look good on someone or make them look sallow. Also, if you really hate what they've done, most reputable places will offer to amend it to your liking for no extra charge.

I have dark hair too, so you can try light blonde. That will stand out against your dark brown. Or, if youre looking for other colors, try a dark purple. Both are sure to stand out!
