go to knottyboy's website, they have a whole range of dread products, ranging from locking gel to dread shampoo, but they are quite expensive. failng that, i personally use lime juice to wash my hair instead of shampoo, as it cleans your hair and also tightens the dread at the same time. just squeeze a few limes, making sure you get the bits out, and rub it into your scalp, then rinse out in warm water. remember to make sure your dread are completely dry once washed, as leaving water in them will rot them. you can also make a solution of lime juice ,sea salt and water to spray on your dread to accelerate the knotting process, but try not to use it too often, and keep it off your scalp as it can be quite drying. i would spray it on after youve washed your hair, and dry it with a dryer. its also a good idea to cover your dread as that is the best way to keep them clean and free from atmospheric pollutants such as petrol fumes on a day to day basis, but depending on why you dreaded in the first place, you may want to show them off, and theres nothing wrong with that! be proud of your Natty, look after them , and you will derive great pleasure from them! Jah Blessings!

clear shampoos are the most residue free. the darker they are, the more moisturizers they contain. anything that says deep cleansing or anything is good too. its a good idea to keep at least some moisture in your hair though. you can get these anywhere shampoo is sold
