Dreaming about death is very common and it can be interpreted in many different ways. Death is usually a symbol of some type of closure or end. It implies an end to one thing and a beginning of another. Death dreams usually have positive symbolism. If you are the dead person in your dream, it could imply that you would like to leave all of your worries and struggles behind and begin anew. Dreaming about someone that you care about may express your fear about losing them. Dreaming that one of your parents died may express fear of loss, but it also may be an unconscious valve through which you release anger and other negative feelings. In some cultures dreaming about death and dying is a very good omen that represents longevity and prosperity... or you've got an overactive imagination.

Don't stress yourself over it too much, keep smiling :)

let me start by saying i am no dream exspert.... but i do know alot on the mind. for instance your mind is divided into to two parts your subcontious and your contious mind. your contious mind is the one you use when you do stuff and what your thinking. but the sub. is the one that stores all of your information. so for instance when your asked the question like: you know that movie that was made by brad pitt with the ghost...you know the movie because you have seen it but why cant you remeber the darn name. well your subcontious mind is like a search engine reviewing over the info. in your mind and evetually(even if it takes a full 2 days)you all the sudden you remeber. right. that is your subcontious mind at work for thoose two days.getting to your dream. your subcoutoius mind is active when your asleep it also gives you dreams.and dreams can come from something that is on your mind constantly bugging you. if it keeps on nagging at your mind- wether you know it or not-then it may be converted into a dream.so you may have watched the news and saw a shooting in your neiborhood or close by. that would bother anybody or maybe a book or a family member may have recently got shot. the bottom line is that your subcontious mind is constantly worring about getting shot. and i suggest you start talking about it. start with a close friend, family, and so forth. but if you dont talk about something that is bothering you trust me it can get out of hand and it can also be taken out on the ones you liove. its just my personal opion that dreams of death are not all that good. so either its something on your mind that you need to get out or your having premontions..wich also is supposed to be an active element in dreams.you may be wittnessing someone getting shot in your dreams that could also be in real life. but the subcontoius mind overworking theory is most likely correct

Killing

To dream that you kill someone, indicates that heavy stress may cause you to lose your temper and self-control. Consider the person you have killed and ask yourself if you feel any rage towards him or her in your waking life. You may very well be expressing some anger or hatred toward this person. Alternatively, you may be trying to kill or put an end to an aspect of yourself that is represented by the person killed. Identify the characteristics of this person and ask yourself how you do not want to be like him or her.

To dream that you have been killed, suggests that your actions are disconnected from your emotions. Alternatively, it refers to drastic changes that are happening in your life.

This dream may also represent a part of you or your life that you wish would leave you alone and stop creating a nuisance. Killing may represent the killing off of old parts of yourself and old habits.

It sounds more like a recurring anxiety or fear. Probably something like a fear of people's intentions or the impression you give to others.

I doubt if it's some kind of vision of the future, though.
