No I think it is a good idea to be a virgin at 18. It's very refreshing that you feel like that. Casual sex today is rampant and there is so much sexually transmitted diseases around and many girls don't even know that they are infected. But in some ways, from articles I have read, I think the pendulum is swinging back to the days when girls did not give sex away so easily like today. You should feel comfortable with your convictions and you should not do anything like that unless you feel mature enough. Maybe you are the type that wants to be a virgin when you get married. I think that is fine. Maybe you are saving yourself for the right guy and when he comes into your life you will know it be sure of that. So do not feel that you are alone, because there are many young women today who are going back to celibacy and staying virgins till they meet the right person and they are mature enough for a sexual love relationship. I wish you well and stay always with your convictions.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that even though it may seem like you are socially behind you are probably alot more emotionally ahead because you are still a virgin. Besides I'm sure a guy would much rather marry a girl who is a virgin as opposed to one who is not and eventually that is what is important right?

I think it is awesome for people to still be virgins. I lost y virginity when i was 15 to a 17 year old boy. Now i am in love and I have nothing to offer to this man I am in love with because the one thing that is cherished and sacred to a man and women I gave away when I was young and stupid. I would give anything if I could take that back. Be true to your self and how you feel. I commend you for being able to stand up and not give your self away. good job. I hope i helped

Its safer in this day and age to remain a virgin till you marry honestly. I know many people don't agree with that and feel they need to rush on in and become an adult but all sex does really is just complicate things. That's why its better to be married first.

Not at all.... 50% of people at 18 years old are still virgins. Not to mention that you are avoiding STDs, unwanted pregnancy, and a lot of heartbreak. I say save it for marriage, but if you don't wanna do that, wait until you are in a committed relationship.

What could be wrong about it? You are not behind because it isn't a race. There are plenty of people "ahead" of you and "behind" you. You do what you feel is right for you, when you are ready, and not a minute before.

no don't feel bad because you're not the only virgin your age and don't feel like you're behind because you're not. what's wrong is what's happening now everyone seems to be fast and just ready to have sex instead of waiting. and if you know you're not ready you're not ready at least you're being truthful to yourself!

Stop putting so much into sex. I have two daughters both with kids because they couldn't wait, I'm proud of ya and I don't even know ya.
They both have said they wished they had waited, I told them both that's a gift you can only give once, you can't take it back and you can't get another one.
Find the person who is going to luv and support your decision and you'll probably have the person you'll spend the rest of your life with because you'll know they luv you for you and not what they can get from you.
Hope this helps holler if ya need me
