I have experience with anxiety and depression as well, so I think I may know what you are talking about, and it is associated with anxiety. If your anxiety is mainly social, like mine, then the hazy feeling, which is known as dissociating, is another way your anxiety manifests itself instead of the uncomfortable/nervous feeling way it usually does.
When I dissociate, it feels surreal like I'm in a dream kind of and nothing seems real or makes sense. I feel like I'm watching life happen without really being a part of it. I feel different and disconnected from others. If you have similar feelings these are called derealization and depersonalization.
As for ways to overcome it, I'm not really sure. I know you have to get rid of the anxiety to get rid of the dissociation, but that's easier said than done. I do yoga and would recommend it because it makes me feel more relaxed. It releases stress from your muscles.
Good Luck!

There are a lot of things that could cause this. First thing is to go see your doctor and make sure everything is physically alright, because some causes for this could be serious. After the doctor clears you, find something to help get out your stress and anxiety.
You could try yoga, jogging, walking, exercise classes, knitting, photography, painting, music, poetry, writting your thoughts, go to a nice park and just sit, watch a sunset, look through old photos, just do anything that makes you smile and feel good. Make up excuses to have some good friends around like starting up a regular dinner together. Drop in on somebody on the way somewhere you dred for five minutes just to say hello. Think of everything you do, or ever have done that made you feel good and happy and just add a few minutes throughout the day of those things.
If you get your stress down and feel more relaxed but still feel the same haze, you need to ask for more in depth tests to find out what is going on.
I have had a lot of issues in the past with depression and so i make sure that as soon as I start feeling those waves coming, or that tensing, I go and find something to do. You just need to learn your bodies cues for when you are pushing or being pushed. After that you will know when you need to step back and make time for you to get rid of it.

I walked Up the tallest mountain in Northern Ireland, Then Walked 8 mile going up and down, thorugh the rest of the mountains... This was in gale force winds & extremely heavy rain. We were in a group of about 7, but had only 4 hours sleep the night before, but we got a small lunch on our way up. So Yeah, that was quite hard. Mostly Mentally to be honest. Sorry to hear about your situation.

What you described is DEFINATELY a symptom of anxiety. I feel that way regularly. My best advice for overcoming it is rest, sleep and exercise regularly. Meds can help too. Good luck to you.
