if you think you should gain weight. make it muscle rather than fat. i do think you are on the skinnier end, try for 120lbs, but do wat you feel is right, you are in charge of yoursellf.
if you decide to eat more in order to gain weight, go to the gym as well and lift weights so you can keep yourself toned. this is also an attractive look
good luck,

The only good way to put on weight is to workout and eat right. The weight you gain will be muscle, at first you may even lose some weight. But working out with weights three times a week for about 45 minutes to an hour plus some cardio mixed in along with eating a low fat low sugar diet will put your body at a healthy weight.

If you're healthy don't worry about it. Unless your appetite is lost for a long time you should try to eat more. But seriously don't try to gain or lose weight if you've never had trouble with weight before.

BMI (Body Mass Index) is a decent indicator
it is calculated as weight(in pounds) divided by height(in metres) squared
your BMI is 18
Underweight = <18.5
Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
Overweight = 25-29.9
Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater
you re at a growing age ,, don t worry about it too much :)

I would calculate my body mass index if I were you. This is basically a number that gives you an idea wether or not you weigh more or less than you should in relation to your height. Just google it and you should find a link. If you're in approximately the normal range I wouldn't worry about it.

Your weight is fine, but you have to eat. Try to eat a balanced diet even if you're not very hungry. They are just worried because you look thin, but that's just your body frame. Don't lose any weight though.

You have to consider the source. You probably get all the attention from the guys when you go out with your "bigger" friends. 5'6" at 112 pounds sounds just about right.

Just eat when you feel like eating. As long as you're not starving yourself, this is apparently the weight that your body wants to be at.

i'd say you are a little underweight it wouldn't hurt you to gain like 8-13lbs. just eat 3 meals a day and a couple of snacks and you should be fine.
