I'm friends with this guy I turned down already (two years ago). I talk to him a lot and he's really funny and everything but he's really weird and geeky. Also, he can be kinda mean to me sometimes. Most of my friends don't like him. The other day I was talking to him and I mentioned going to the mall with our other friend, Susan. So, he planned it all and it turned out Susan's boyfriend was going too. On the way to the mall he mantioned how he thought these other two girls are hot. Then at the mall he kept trying to put his arm around me and acted a little like it was a date. I don't know if I like him or not. I think I might, but I don't want to go out with him because it would be weird and I worry about what other people would think. Dating him could wreck my chances at getting another boyfriend. What should I do? Should I talk to him about the mall incident? Should I ask him out? Advice please!

Sorry, a few clarifications. When I said might ruin my chances of getting another boyfriend I meant getting another boyfriend after him. A lot of the guys in my class are a little weird about reputation. Also, I think I might have hurt his feelings a bit when I kept brushing him off at the mall, so I was also wondering if I should apologize.

first off all dont care what people think, if you like this guy you better go after him before its to late. just let him know that you didnt like the way he acted in the mall.

It sounds like you don't like hime enough for him to be your boyfriend so have less and less to do with him. If you go out with him it will definately ruin your chances of finding another boyfriend while you are going out with him.
The other things you find geeky and weird are they changeable, for example if he dresses like a geek maybe suggest some clothes.

dont worry about others. this guy could turn out to be the love of your life & u'll never know until u try. & anyways ppl should like you for who you are & not who you date.
