That's why so many of us non-Christians aren't worried. Even if Hell does exist, we would be with a whole bunch of great people like Ghandi and a lot of babies etc. It really sounds much nicer than spending eternity with televangelists and fundamentalists. It is my belief that that is why little babies are baptised or christened.

David made it clear that his baby that died went to be with the Lord, "...I shall go to him, but he will not come to me." There is an age of accountablility (Jews believe you become a man at 13) when a child makes up his own mind regarding salvation.
"THEN they are doomed to hell if they never hear about jesus or his claims?"
We are judged only by the amount of revelation that has been given. For some, it is evident in other means. However, once you hear the gospel message, you are accountable--yes.
In all of your questions, which I too have considered, I always realize that God judges rightly. He will make Himself known to everyone and judge accordingly. Remember, Abraham was right in the middle of the most pagan country of Ur when he was called out by God.

The bible states numerous times that God is both a fair God and a loving God.
We know from Matthew 19:13-15 that Jesus loves children.
We also know from Romans 2:14-16 that God will judge people who did not have the opportunity to learn about Him differently than He will judge us.
You are correct in struggling with the idea that a loving God would send a baby to hell. Or that people who live in remote regions that have yet to hear of God are automatically condemned. God is both fair and loving, and sending innocent babies to hell is neither.
Everybody is born with the ten commandments written on their hearts, and the ability to recognize there is a God. This is how people who have never heard of Christ will be judged.
There are people who believe that babies who have not had the sacrament of baptism are not saved.
We are commanded to repent and be baptized, but once again, God is a fair God.
When Christ was dying on the cross there was another man who believed, and Christ saved him, even though he was not baptized. (Luke 23:39-433)
If somebody does not have the opportunity to be baptized, (or in the case of a baby, control over this) God does not hold it against them

Actually, no. There are no babies in Hell and never will be. I know there are some diehard Southern Baptists out there who believe differently. I think they're wrong.
I don't know or pretend to understand all the ins and outs of it, but I believe a lot of that misconception comes from Augustine's concept of original sin.
God cannot be unjust, therefore He would not condemn babies or people who are mentally incapable of understanding salvation as we adults understand it. I think where Augustine falls short in his digressing is the fact that we are all created in His image first and we fall into sin later.
When does that take place? I feel there is no set age of accountability, that it is different for each person dependent upon their reasoning abilities. Likewise, those who never hear the spoke words of salvation. God has them in mind, too.
Hope that clears that myth up for you.
Have a great day!

Anyone that has any knowledge of the bible knows there is no eternal Hell fire but was created by the Catholic church to scare people into joining the church and was then just taken on to the other churches when they broke off. $100,000 reward to the first one that can show even one scripture that says anyone will burn in Hell for eternity. In truth, there is none but it says just the opposite, that those that do not have Christ, does not have life, they are burned up, turned to ashes, they die and are no more. check it out if you doubt it. Site below will give you all you need to research it as it has studies or a concordance to help you find anything you want.

Listen, I don't know who told you all that, but they told you wrong. Christians don't believe that little Children are going to hell!!! The Bible says "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” James 4:17. Little children don't know to do right or wrong, however, you do. The thing is, by nature children challenge authority, and need guidance. If you don't know to do good or bad, how can you be judged by that?
Once you know that what you are doing is wrong, then and only then is it up to you to choose whether to change or not. As far as the "age", it is different for everybody. For instance, a "slow" person may never reach the place where they know right from wrong. Some people may use the word "retarded", but it sounds too rough of a word.
Little children have a special meaning to God. Christ said this about them "Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God." Mark 10:14b. His disciples at that time didn't want him to be "bothered" by the energy they have. The word “suffer" here means to bid or to cause them to do so, not to cause pain.
If you have a Bible, you may want to read it for yourself, instead of letting somebody else tell you these lies about what we believe. If you don't have a Bible, you can buy one almost anywhere. Go to Wal-Mart, Dollar General, the book store in your town, or almost anywhere.... Just don't go to the ones who have been telling you this stuff.

No. I don't believe there are any babies in Hell. A person is eligible? for Hell at birth because of original sin. But God IS merciful and there is a point at which He does hold us responsible for what we know about HIM. It is most often called the age of accountability. It is different for everyone but the usual age is 8-11. As for people who have never heard of Jesus, they are only responsible for what they DO know about God and what their response to that knowledge is.
I hope that helps your understanding.

I am a Christian that believes in a loving GOD. However, I don't believe in this eternal torment in hell. The Bible DOESN'T teach this concept.
So, to answer your question, children who die go to "sleep". Read John 11:11-14. When JESUS returns, HE will awaken us from this "sleep", including babies and little children.
GOD's justice and mercy for little children will be evident when that time comes. However, the wicked will experience the "lake of fire". This "lake of fire" WILL NOT burn forever! It will burn until the wicked are burned up. Read 2 Peter 2:6.
GOD bless

When children know the difference that what they are doing is wrong . We are born sinners , Psalm 58:3 " The wicked are estranged from the womb:they go astray as soon as they are born speaking lies. Jeremiah 17:9 " The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked:who can know it ?"That's why we should follow Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go:and when he is old he will not depart from it,"

Your understanding is not true about babies, young children and mentally disabled adults. Your must know the difference in good and evil. Hear the truth of the Gospel of Grace, that Jesus died for his sin and was resurrected on the third day. Then make a decision to reject the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross for our sin and say I will make it on my own.

The eternal spirit soul never is a baby or old. That you and everybody else are mistaken. Is not the material body that goes to hell of heaven is the soul. A soul in a baby's body, obviously has not committed any sinful activities in this life, but since the soul is eternal, God knows all the history of each of any of us, souls, eternally.
