Absolutely! My life revolves around the power of prayer. I've seen someone with 20+ ailments healed in less than an hour of prayer! I've seen people that have been paralyzed get up and walk out of their wheel chairs! My question is, How could you not believe in the power of prayer?!

No, if God is who He says He is and never changes then prayer is just something for you to do while God does what He's going to do anyways ... positive thinking achieves the same thing.

I wonder if you would still believe prayer works if you watched your child suffer from cancer and die a painful death or had your whole family but you burn in a house fire. Or would this be one of those "it wasn't in His will" answers Christians love to give.

I believe in the Power of Prayer.

James 5:16 - Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

I believe in the power of prayer to center me, calm me and refresh my spirit. I do not believe in the power of prayer to change other people or circumstances.

Absolutely not.

You always hear the wonderful stories about someone who was gravely ill and everyone prayed for him and he 'miraculously' recovered.

You never hear about the vast majority of gravely ill people who are prayed for just as sincerely and end up not recovering.

If God has preditermined destiny, what difference does it make? You will not alter His plan.

Meditation? Yes. Positive thought? Yes.
