I've been considering a tattoo for a while, and was thinking of getting this on my lower back:

Are all lower back tattoos classed as "Tramp Stamps" or isit just certain types?

What is your opinion? And do you like the one I'm considering?

PISH!!!!! Of course you can have an epidural with a tattoo, thats total bollocks!!

Lower back tattoos are a real moot point. Its the person that makes them tramps not the tattoo, the problem is a lot of the tramps have one there.

It is your decision to make, if you like that design and you like that place put it wher YOU want it. It is your tattoo and YOUR body, no one elses. If you're really worried what people think of you if you get it then perhaps you are not ready to have it, at least not there.

I consider stff that 3/5 girls have there as a tramp stamp, ie just a piece of tribal and some flowers they picked off the wall because it was "pretty". Thats a truly pointless tattoo and they deserve the slur for not having the immagination to get something personal and meaningful. I have some giant airbrushed flowers and id love to see anyone define that as a tramp stamp.

If you want a tat, then get it and don't worry what others may think. Just know that most guys will consider the so-called "tramp stamp" or "target tat" on the trashy side, as the best position to view it is of the K-9 position. I personally think the design is cool, however the lower back thing is completely overdone and overly trendy.

I have a tribal tattoo on my lower back with a skull and rose in the center and I love mine! Yes many people refer to it as a "tramp stamp" but I knew that that was where I wanted mine and that was what I wanted and I could care less about what other people thought. My husband loves it and I am glad that I got it. If you are positive that that is what you want and where you want it then screw what everyone else thinks, its your body not theirs! I personally think that the tattoo that you want it really cute and I think that if that is what fits your personality then you should get it. I hope this was of some help! good luck with your decision

I have a small oriental poppy flower on my lower back, and even though it isn't massive or showy- my dad and his friends refer to it as a "Tramp stamp."

I've heard MANY guys use this term concerning all types of lower back tattoos.

If you really want it, get it. You shouldn't let ignorant people who judge you based on a "tramp stamp," make decisions for you. Heck, it's a decent place for a tattoo anyway because it is so easily covered by clothes.

The term probably comes from girls who have them and always have their buttcracks and thongs hanging out as well.

Also- you can STILL get an epidural when you give birth, so don't worry about that. Again, if you want it. Do it.

Don't get a tattoo. Everybody and their cousin have tattoos. Yes the lower back is a "tramp stamp" all guys look at it that way. Not only is it referred to the tramp stamp but I've heard it called a bulls eye for obvious sexual reasons. Also I heard and I'm not sure if it's true, but when you give birth they can't do an epidural because of the ink. They have to pass the needle in the lower back and I heard that they won't go through the ink because it can get into the spinal fluid. Maybe that's an urban myth but that's what I heard. If you do get one just don't have it showing with your g-string or thong sticking out when you bend down that looks kind of trashy.

Hey Kinky, I have nothing against a tattoo on a girls lower back. I also don't think it signifies anything in particular. Myself, I would never use the term tramp stamp. I personally find it sexist and insulting to women ( I prefer the term @ss Antlers) There's nothing sexier that a girl sporting a cute little set of @ss Antlers......LMFAO... (Where is Blair when you need him)
OK, OK....the mob can put out their torches and disperse now.... I WAS JUST KIDDING. I like a tattoo in the sweet spot!! I did hear a comment on one of the boards last week that made me laugh
"We call em tramp stamps now, in fifty years we'll be calling them gramp stamps"

sorry, sorry, sorry....(slinking away)

basically any tattoo on the lower back is considered a tamp stamp... i dont like the tattoo.. cause im not fond of tribal. and even the tattoo is a butterfly it doesnt look that feminine... it looks more like barb wire! lol but also please dont copy other peoples tattoos pick out tatoo artist and say you want something similar to this.. and they will create your personal tattoo for you...

its sucks there they are labeled as a tramp stamp. i think it is a GREAT are to get a tattoo... it wont be effected by pregancy. and the skin around the area doesnt change that much with time as other areas like arms, pelvis, ect. . i would like ot get my tattoo there but it wouldnt look nice in that are (its 3 flowers with all meanings) but if you like that tattoo alot then i would take it to your tattoo artist so they could mix it up into something original for you. not copying a tattoo thats already out there... sorry peopel are being mean on ehre to you though!

pretty much all tattoos on the lower back that are a mirror image (one side is the reflection of the other) are considered tramp stamps or a s s antlers.

however, i think of it as a turn-on as long as the girl isn't a slut or anything.

Depends how you look at it. Some people might see it as a tramp stamp, others may see it as body art. Tattoos have long been stereotyped with bad people. So if you hang aroung people who see it as body art, you're in the clear.
