I'm going in the beginning of June, and we're hitting up everything - North to South France, and yes, even Paris. I've got to pack light, but it's going to be a 12 day trip. What essentials do I need, and are there any fashion rules I should be aware of (like no flats in Paris, only heels)? I've no idea what the weather will be like, but I know it varies region to region, so I've got to have a broad arrangement. Help!

Here's some rules I live by when I travel abroad:

No sneakers
No shorts
No T-shirts
No fanny bags
No huge purses
No spiky heels

Most of these things shout American, which I've always tried to play down.

Bon voyage.

Paris weather is very similar to here. Lots of rain, kind of coldish, but still sunny and sometimes warm in June too. So what youd wear here will do. As far as style, dont even think of wearing runners when you go out in the city. Thats the #1 thing that makes you look like a North American! But make sure what you do wear will be comfortable, cause Im sure youll be doing a lot of walking.

We always tell people to pack light.... if you forget something, you'll be able to get it there. Here is our basic packing list with the "amenities and necessities" we generally take: http://www.mousetourstravels.com/basic-packing-list.html Don't forget that you need to pack with today's security alerts in mind: http://www.mousetourstravels.com/travel-security-alert-packing-guide.html

This is pretty much what I would take to France. I wear flats everywhere because I'm more comfortable walking in them. If you take layers, you'll be ready for any weather. Make all your outfits mix and match.

Happy travels... even if you don't travel the world... just remember that life is a journey... embrace and enjoy it! http://www.mousetourstravels.com

U have all sorts of tourists in France,Dont think that u must have a guideline, some tourists dress fancy, some juz dress casual.its upto u actually, besides the weather can be rather hot in June/July.All i ever wore was sleveless & pants/dresses.If u plan to walk around much, best pack ur fav most comfy shoes.U can always bring a thin cardigan if it ever gets chilly durin the nites.Juz pack mix & match clothes.Easy to wear.Mayb 1-2 more fancier clothes if u plan to go out at nite to a fancy restaurant.Have fun!

i imagine that is fairly gentle out. round Febuary time, that is contained in the minus'. yet contained in the June-September, i imagine that is somewhat warmth. Take leggings, and t-shirts. yet continually have a hoodie on you. Take a water-resistant, merely in case too. Take some operating shoes, or some pump like operating shoes. ~Sophie:')
