Do you mean a "funnel cake"? A funnel cake is deep-fried dough covered in powdered sugar. It is a common, popular food served at American fairs and amusement parks.

I don't know what you mean by "kind" of cake. It is a deep-fried, donut-type cake (it is not shaped like a donut but the preparation is similar).
