If a person says they are not religious....does this mean they are atheist, agnostic, or that they just don't go to church/religious events or practice organized religion?
What is your opinion? Thanks!

I think it means that they don't want to hear your religious opinions...that's all. They could be any of the things you suggested but really they don't want to talk about it. I think it is a polite way to say that they don't want to talk or listen to religious talk.

Well, I think if someone referred to theirself as non-religious that could mean a lot of things. They may still have beliefs but mean, as you said, don't go to church and such. I would also think that if a person was an atheist or agonostic they wouldn't say non-religious. But who knows, some of them maybe afraid to say what they are, I don't know about that.
In this forum many claim to be atheist/agnostic but, of course, they are invisible here, as we all are.

They might be a christian. There is a difference between Christianity and religion. Not to the religious but to Christians.

To me it means they do not go to church, do not practice or participate in any organized religion. They might still beleive in something, but they choose to stay quiet - very smart of them too.

It could also mean they choose to Honor God in there own way without the dogma of organized religion.

That means that a person believes in God, but they do not favour to follow a religion...Some people thinks that you can believe in God without having to belong to a religion.
