It depends on the state law.
In Florida it IS allowed if it's a one-way street to another one-way street per Florida Statute 316.075 c1b
b. The driver of a vehicle on a one-way street that intersects another one-way street on which traffic moves to the left shall stop in obedience to a steady red signal, but may then make a left turn into the one-way street, but shall yield the right-of-way to pedestrians and other traffic proceeding as directed by the signal at the intersection, except that municipal and county authorities may prohibit any such left turn as described, which prohibition shall be effective when a sign giving notice thereof is attached to the traffic control signal device at the intersection.

I'm starting to see more people slow or stop at the signal described before turning left. This is seen on west coast near
International Border with both American and British Columbia
plates. Strongly suspect these are the same people who only
slow for stop signs occasionally, blow through amber to red light changes, are usually the last person people with green light must wait for, hardly ever use turn signals, and see roundabouts as a
reason to approach at high speed. Dial 9-1-1, citizens.

NO.
What is wrong with you did you just start driving this morning or did you sleep during drivers ed. In Michigan you can turn left on a blinking red light if traffic is clear and I'm sure it is like that in most states. But not a solid red light.
WAKE UP AND READ YOUR DRIVERS ED BOOK.

The only time you can legally turn left on a red light is when you are turning from one "one way" street onto another "one way" street. Even in this situation, there are some localities that will have laws against it just to avoid confusion.

Depends on where you live. I live in Michigan and yes you can. But only on a one way street for a left. You must always yield to oncoming traffic though. Check you local laws. In michigan, yes

In the United States, you may NEVER turn left on a red light, regardless if it is a round one or one with an arrow. Only if the arrow is blinking when red, are you allowed to turn BUT you still have to come to a complete stop and yield to any oncoming traffic before proceeding.
